Clublinks is pleased to announce that our management contract with Deakin University has been extended for another 2 years! Working closely with the Deakin University Sport & Recreation team, the health and wellbeing of students and staff continues to benefit and increase as the services across the DeakinACTIVE brand are further expanded.

DeakinACTIVE Burwood recently moved into the brand new LC building and purpose built gym and fitness facility. This new and exciting wellness space will be available to Deakin students, staff and broader members of the public.

With 850 sqm floorspace and a dedicated large group fitness area fitted with a glass skywall, the space is New York warehouse style with concrete columns, high ceilings and exposed ductwork on view. Sporting world famous Technogym equipment, the facility offers the most complete range of cardio, strength and functional training equipment in the market, as well as the only SkillAthletic studio in Melbourne, VIC.

Clublinks is also expanding their management services within Deakin University to include the Warrnambool fitness centre and their regional sporting facilities. Previously only managing the DeakinACTIVE Burwood and Waurn Ponds sites, Clublinks is excited to offer a full service suite of sporting facility management across all Deakin University campuses from January 2021.

“Deakin Sport and Recreation are really pleased to continue our partnership with Clublinks until the end of 2022. Since entering into the partnership we have established the DeakinACTIVE brand and had very high levels of participation in our programs and services.

COVID19 has presented challenges for the whole industry and I am proud of how we have responded together as partners to get through this difficult year. The contract extension puts DeakinACITVE in a strong position to flourish over the next 2 years to provide great services to Deakin Students and the university community.

We also have a new Fitness Centre in Burwood which is so exciting and provides us with a sensational opportunity to shine. “
