Whilst the impacts of COVID-19 have been felt across Australia and in multiple industries, golf has been fortunate to see a huge surge in the numbers of players across many courses around the country. This too has been the case at Centenary Park Golf Course, located in Frankston, Victoria.

Clublinks has been working hard over this challenging period and prior, to deliver outstanding community programs that benefit locals and offer tips and tricks with our Golfing Pros to spark interest and a hunger for the game.

With a recent full re-brand completed, Clublinks, in partnership with the Frankston City Council are thrilled with the bright and vibrant new look and feel. Clublinks Marketing Manager, Rowena Thomasson says “using our informed brand process we were able to reveal significant benefits to overhaul the brand, giving it a new visual look focused on positioning, personality and visual elements. The new brand represents a community space, where golf is played, showcasing the breadth on offer for all locals.”

The brand is brought alive through the launch of a new dedicated website, social media, paid digital campaigns, on-site signage, community events and local area marketing.

What has been particularly exciting has been the range of new activities delivered over the last 12 months on the grounds. Mitch Ferguson, Venue Manager for Centenary Park Golf Course stated, “our strategy has been about driving growth and getting new people in love with the game. We’ve been so excited to deliver over 200 community programs including local school clinics, ladies and beginner clinics, parent and child twilight school holiday programs and twilight golf club events. We also hosted a Victorian Bushfire Charity Event, formed a partnership with Frankston City Council Tourism and even had a beautiful new outdoor decking built to enjoy a drink and snack after the game. All this has helped us achieve our growth plans for Council.”

Through a planned and effective social media calendar, facebook and Instagram engagement is growing at double digits monthly and the database to connect subscribers has doubled.

Increased discussion is underway to provide even more benefit to locals in FY21. So watch this space, as ‘your space to play in Frankston’ is set to shine even brighter!
